Born as the youngest in the family of 7 children, Srimathi Parameswary Pannir Chelvam grew up to be creative and always wanted to give her best to the society. Her passion for dance started at the age of 7 years old when she learned her basics from guru, Srimathi Rajeswaria Arumugam.
In 1983, she went to Chennai for her professional advanced training with the renowned Dancer Aacharya Choodamani Srimathi Indra Rajan, with whom her passion grew. In 1984, she completed her Arranggetram with the blessing of her guru in Mylapore, India. Srimathi Parameswary was presented the name ‘Vadhini’ as her guru, Srimathi Indra Rajan always knew she had more to give the world and been very dedicated to this field.

Her aim to increase creativity through art and to preserve the indian culture came true when Vadhini Fine Arts was established. Srimathi Parameswary Pannir Chelvam has always been a dedicated teacher and an excellent choreographer. She is always conscious of her responsibility to the Panthanallur lineage (precise techniques, sharp foot work and bakthi in expression). She maintains the purity, beauty and spiritual aspect of the art, as she is passionate of the growth of the upcoming generation. She is determined in bringing out the best of the child through dance and has been successful doing it till to date. Srimathi Parameswary Pannir Chelvam is committed to having Vadhini Fine Arts as the mainstream to spread knowledge of this beautiful art and to increase creativity in every child.
Being born in Malaysia, a country that rich with various cultures, she took art to a whole new level and her talent and approach was the talk of the state. Her dedication, talent and passion for this art was recognized by many well-known artists. She was honoured the ‘Natya Kala Ratnam’ by her guru Srimathi Indra Rajan, ‘Natya Kala Booshnam’ by Sri Panthanallur Srinivasa Pillai, ‘Siranda Sadanai Penmani’ by Kalaignar Iyakkam and ‘Aacharya Seva Ratna’ by Sathir School of Baharathanatyam, Chennai.
